The Mexican government has offered a reward of nearly 3 and a half million euro for information leading to the capture of the country's most notorious drug lord.

The authorities say Joaquin Guzman must have had the help of prison officials when he escaped from a high-security jail on Saturday.

A huge manhunt is underway following his break-out through a mile-long underground tunnel from his cell.
