The Childrens Minister has welcomed the decision by a Dublin Hotal not to go ahead with a child beauty pageant.

The competition for babies, toddlers and teenagers was set for the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan.

But the hotel announced it wouldn't proceed with the event, as its organisers hadn't been clear about its nature.
