A minutes silence will be observed across France this morning, in memory of the victims of Thursdays terror attack in Nice.

Here at home the national flag will fly at half mast as a mark of respect to the 84 people killed when Mohamed Bouhlel drove a lorry into crowds during Bastille Day celebrations.

The President Michael D. Higgins will sign a book of condolences for the victims at Dublin's Mansion House later this morning.

Seven people are in custody following the massacre.

18 people injured during the attack remain in hospital.
