Further claims of bribery involving Bus Eireann have emerged today.

A report in the Irish Mail on Sunday contains allegations from four whistle blowers - who are all private bus operators.

They claim they were asked to give kickbacks to unnamed Bus Eireann officials, in return for contracts.

The bribes allegedly included cash payments, free holidays and free hotel accommodation.

Last week, Bus Eireann said it had investigated the claims of a different whistleblower but found no evidence of wrongdoing.

The company is calling on anyone with evidence of bribery to contact the Gardai.
