The Department of Finance will release more documents today in connection with the sale of Siteserv.

The company was sold by the former Anglo Irish Bank to Denis O'Brien's Millington firm at a loss to the taxpayer of 100 million euro, prompting concern from officials at the Department of Finance and opposition TDs.

Concern was first raised about the sale of construction company SiteServ by IBRC, formerly known as Anglo Irish Bank, by officials at the Dept of Finance in 2012.

The Minister for Finance Michael Noonan met with the Chairman of the bank and was assured that the deal was in the best interests of the state.

But oppositon TDs have raised the issue once again.

Yesterday in the Dail, the Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the Government would be happy for the Comptroller and Auditor General to investigate the deal - which saw 100 million euro worth of SiteServ debts written off, before being sold to Denis O'Brien's Millington firm.

The Taoiseach says the Dept of Finance will release further documents today which will reveal more details about the transaction and the concerns raised.
