More than half of Internet users admit to being addicted.
New figures show we spend over 24 hours a week online, with smartphones being the most popular device.
But the figures from Ofcom's annual report show also show that the internet can have a damaging effect. People can spend one whole day a week online, with over half saying they were hooked.

Technology editor at the Irish Independent, Adrian Weckler, says the figures are much the same here in Ireland.
But the internet can have a detrimental effect, with some people admitting they've neglected their work, social lives and relationships because they're glued to their smart phones.
Adrian Weckler says FOMO or 'fear of missing out' is also a big problem.
