The Courts Service says all hearings in Dublin will proceed tomorrow, regardless of whether the Garda strike goes ahead.

All cases of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the Circuit Court, and the District Court will go ahead as normal in the Four Courts.

All cases in the Central Criminal Court, the Circuit Criminal Court and the District Courts will go ahead in the Criminal Courts of Justice.

The Courts Service says it has been in constant contact and discussions with the Judiciary and an Garda Siochana in relation to Friday's court sittings.

Outside Dublin, various local arrangements are being made.

If the strike goes ahead each judge will decide how to deal with their list.

The courts service says people should assume their case is on unless a local notice says differently.

Only three courts have been affected by the planned strike so far: At Galway Circuit Criminal matters have been pushed forward to today. Waterford Juvenile District Court list is deferred to a date in December. Kilkenny Circuit Appeals list is deferred to a future date.
