A mother and daughter killed when their car ploughed into a flooded field have been laid to rest.

Geraldine and Louise Clancy had just left their home near Fermoy on Tuesday when the horrific crash occurred.

They had planned to do some Christmas shopping.

The two women were buried together at St Michael's Cemetery in Ballyduff, Co Waterford today.

They drowned when their car collided with another and veered into a flooded field, the other driver is said to be in extreme shock following the tragedy.
