Gardai say the mother of a newborn baby found in Dublin last Friday has nothing to fear.
The baby girl discovered at Steelstown Lane in Rathcoole has been named as Maria, as gardai continue to search for her mother.
They’re concerned that the mother may need urgent medical attention.
Juliette Gash reports from Clondalkin;
Baby Maria was found wrapped in a blue towel, inside the taupe-coloured fleece blanket from Penney's pictured below, the label of which reads "Primark Home".

The baby was then placed in a black bin-liner type plastic bag, which was then inside a paper Marks and Spencer bag.
The blue towel is similar to that which Maria was wrapped in, but not identical, all other items are identical.
