A motorcyclist has died in a crash in Dublin.

The incident involving the motorcycle, a van and a car occurred just before midday at York Road in Dun Laoghaire.

The male motorcyclist was taken to St Vincent's hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It's the sixth fatality on Irish roads since Friday - the third involving a motorcyclist.

The scene of the collision has been sealed off pending a forensic investigation and diversions are in place.
