Motorists are being asked to take their time when travelling home from the St. Patrick's Day festivities.

Hundreds of people having been attending parades across Ireland today.

A number of road closures are in place and Gardai say restrictions will be lifted after the events.

Chief Superintendent Michael O'Sullivan is also reminding people not to drink and drive.
