The IDA says multinationals are delaying their decisions to stay or invest in Ireland due to global political uncertainty.
But the agency says this is a short-term problem, and expects further job announcements in the coming weeks.
It comes as recruitment firm Indeed has announced it's hiring a further 500 staff in Dublin.

CEO of IDA Ireland, Martin Shanahan says "What we're seeing at the moment is significant uncertainty as a result of political changes across the globe and because of that companies may hold off on making investment decisions in the short term, but I think it is in the short term, and they will wait and see what policies are articulated and what policies are implemented".
