A major review of Nama will today recommend the agency should focus more on delivering residential housing.
The document was drawn up by the Department of Finance, and will be released by Minister Michael Noonan and Nama's Chairman Frank Daly.
Under the proposals, the agency would use its influence in the property market to ensure homes are built on land banks in areas like west and south Dublin.
The review will also recommend Nama continue in existence, despite speculation that it could be wound up early, because foreign investors have shown interest in acquiring its massive property book.
