A film-maker who was looking for locations for the Netflix series Narcos has been shot dead in Mexico.

Carlos Munoz Portal was found dead in his car with multiple bullet wounds on Monday in a remote area.

He also worked on the Oscar-nominated drugs thriller Sicario and films including Fast and Furious, Apocalypto and Spectre.
