Nearly 80% of over 50s overweight or obese

79 percent of Ireland’s over 50's are either obese or overweight – and one in five men aged over 50 is a problem drinker.

The findings are part of the second wave of results from a major study by Trinity College Dublin – which looked at the health and well-being of our over 50s.

But despite health concerns, older people say theyÂ’re satisfied with their lives.
