The death toll following yesterday's earthquake in Nepal has passed 2,400 people as Nepal's hospitals struggle to cope with the hundreds of patients.
17 people have also been killed following a number of aftershocks which triggered more avalanches on Mount Everest this morning.
100 Irish citizens are understood to have been caught up in the incident.
Médecins Sans Frontières is sending additional medical and non-medical teams to assist victims on the ground.
