A new €50 euro note is to come into circulation tomorrow.
It looks similar to the existing note, but has a number of new security features.
The central Bank says it can be easily checked using the 'Feel, Look and Tilt' method.
The new note inlcudes:
" a portrait watermark of the Greek goddess Europa;
" raised lines along the sides of the note;
" a shiny emerald colour number;
" the portrait window as seen in the €20 note; and
" a portrait hologram of Europa.
The existing €50 remains legal tender and the new one will circulate alongside it.
