A new antibiotic which could fight superbugs is being developed by scientists in America.
In lab tests, teixobactin killed drug-resistant strains of tuberculosis, anthrax and bacteria known to cause blood and lung infections.
Researchers say it is far less likely that illnesses will become resistant to the new drug and it could be ready for human use within five years.
