Business owners in Dublin City Centre are welcoming new by-laws to regulate busking.

Under the measures, which are expected to come into effect within weeks, street performers will require a permit.

A busking permit will cost 30 Euro - but those who use amplifiers will have to pay more.

A noise limit of 80 decibels will be enforced and buskers will have to finish up by 11pm.
