Remember the global craze of summer 2014?

The Ice Bucket Challenge.

Where people all over the world poured water over their heads. 

Well it's been credited with helping the ALS Association to discover a new gene which may help people who suffer from Motor Neurone disease. 

Over €90 million euro was raised by people pouring water over their heads around the world which went towards funding research. 

The breakthrough gives new hopes of a treatment for MND.
