A new Glanbia ingredients plant on the Waterford/Kilkenny border has been oficially opened.

It'll process one third of the national milk pool into products like infant formula.

70 people are employed at the site in Belview - but Glanbia says it supports around 1,600 indirect jobs.

The facility opens as the industry gears up for the abolition of milk quotas.
