US President Barack Obama is due to announce a raft of gun control measures later today.

He's introducing a series of executive orders that will effectively by-pass Congress, which has previously voted against gun control.

The measures are likely to include tightening rules on gun dealers, preventing illegal gun sales, and broadening background checks for people buying firearms.
