New laws criminalising people who pay for sex will be debated by the Seanad today.

The Sexual Offences Bill covers a wide range of areas including child pornograhy and online grooming.

It doesn't decriminalise prostitution - but will focus on punishing those who purchase sexual services.

It's hoped the law will also crack down on international sex trafficking.
