The Government is planning to introduce new international security measures to prevent future terror attacks.

According to the Sunday Independent, a new state agency will be established to identify potential suspects flying in and out of Ireland.

This new agency will be able to screen passenger records for the first time ever, and will also have access to the US government's terror watch list.

The organisation is expected to be comprised of Gardaí, custom officials and the Revenue Commissioners office.
