The government will this week look again at the way people in Ireland are charged for water.

The cabinet is expected to agree a simplified version tomorrow which it's thought will see each household pay an average of under €200 each year.

Environment Minister Alan Kelly could then unveil the detailed plan on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Foreign Affairs says he hopes there isn't a repeat of Saturday's protest in Dublin which saw the Tanaiste trapped in her car for over two hours.
