Nicole Kidman has explained her unusual clapping style which saw her becoming a meme after the Oscars.
The applause was compared to that of a seal or sea lion by users of social media.
With good reason!
But she been explaining all to Australian radio station KIIS.
She says that she was just trying to avoid damaging the expensive jewellery she had been lent for the night.
