Nobel prize goes to chemical weapons watchdog

The global chemical weapons watchdog - OPCW - has won the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons is currently working in Syria - destroying stockpiles of the weapons.

Some observers expressed disappointment the award was not given to Pakistani teenager Malala Yousefzai.
