Noonan faces calls to resign over Inquiry findings

The Dail has heard calls for Michael Noonan to resign - over claims he misled the house about the ECB's stance on burning bondholders.

It's after the Banking Inquiry found that the ECB had explicitly threatened to cut off funding for Irish banks if bondholders were burned.

Social Democrat TD Stephen Donnelly says it's a contradiction of what Michael Noonan told the Dáil four years ago:

Meanwhile the Taoiseach says he will reflect on whether there should be another referendum to give Oireachtas Committees investigative powers.

His comments come in the wake of the banking inquiry report which one witness has described as "worse than useless".

Enda Kenny says he'll consider a re-run of the referendum that was defeated in 2011:
