Strike action will go ahead in emergency departments next Tuesday, after what the INMO says is management’s ‘total failure’ to address the staffing crisis.
Nurses have emotionally described that ongoing overcrowding in emergency departments as completely demoralising and they have been believe there have been patient deaths as a result.
Two hour rolling work stoppages are due to start at seven hospitals across the country next week.
