Nurses will decide this afternoon whether new proposals to reduce Emergency Department overcrowding are enough to call off their strike on Thursday.

It's after the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation and the HSE agreed a new set of proposals following fresh talks at the Workplace Relations Commission.

The HSE says management are committed to a full implementation of the measures agreed upon, after nurses rejected the last agreement.
