World leaders will meet in New York today for the first time to discuss the refugee crisis.

The United Nations General Assembly is set to adopt a new declaration which aims to put a frame work in place to deal with large movements of people.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan will address the gathering this afernoon.
