President Obama has shaken hands with the Cuban President Raul Castro.
The two leaders exchanged words and smiled for the cameras as they met at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana.
Barack Obama is the first US President to visit the communist island in 88 years.
He says he'll press for economic and democratic reforms during the historic meeting.
The US President is also due to meet with dissident group "The Women in White" who are calling for the release of political prisoners and human rights reforms.
