The country has a new Lotto millionaire.

One winning ticket has scooped €5.8 million in this week's roll-over Lotto jackpot draw.

The quick-pick sale was made at the General Post Office on Cecil Street in Limerick City.

The numbers drawn were 04, 16, 18, 24, 32 and 35 and the bonus number was 46.
