People who attempted to swim during Storm Ophelia in Galway have been criticised locally.
The majority of people took the red weather warning seriously - but a number of people entered the water in Salthill during the severe storm yesterday.
Locals have argued that it's not only dangerous and inconsiderate, and can also tie up emergency services during a particularly busy time.

Earlier, the Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy indicated that he was 'furious' that some people around the country ignored the warnings and entered the water during Ophelia.
