The Finance Minster has accused the opposition of trying to smear his cabinet colleague Alan Shatter.

There's been calls for Minister Shatters resignation over the handling of the allegations of bugging at GSOC's offices and the whistleblower controversy.

Speaking this lunchtime the Finance Minister said his colleague has given a full account of his actions to the Oireachtas.
