A vigil is taking place in Dublin city centre this evening to remember the victims of yesterday's mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Florida.

A book of condolence has been opened at Dublin's Mansion House, and a vigil is being held beside City Hall this evening. (starts 1845).

Members of the LGBT community here at home are expressing their solidarity with their counterparts in the US, following the worst gun attack in US History.

50 people were killed and 53 injured at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida last night.
