The six year sentence handed down to Oscar Pistorius for murdering his girlfriend is being criticised as 'extremely lenient'.
The minimum jail term for murder in South Africa is generally 15 years.

The Judge ruled that given the first offence for Pistorius, it's unlikely he will offend again.
