The fugitive Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych says he hasn't been overthrown - but forced from power by pro-Fascist forces.
Mr Yanukovych has made his first public appearance in Russia since fleeing the Ukraine amid a political upheaval earlier this week.
He's defiantly insisting that he's still the country's president - and that he won't recognise elections to replace him in May.
Speaking through a translator, he's told reporters he had to leave the country after receiving threats to his security.
