Over 2,000 demonstrators marched through Dublin city centre this afternoon calling for the 8th Amendment to be repealed.

The Abortion Rights Campaign' wants the Government to legalise abortion in Ireland.

Protestors marched from the Garden of Remembrance to Temple Bar with wheelie suitcases in tow.

The suitcases were to symbolise the thousands of women who've been forced to leave Ireland for abortions.

These people attended say they want free, safe and legal abortion for all women living in Ireland.

Reacting to today's demonstration - Pro Life Campaign spokesperson, Dr. Ruth Cullen said, "There will be no space at today’s march for the stories of the thousands of Irish women who travelled to England for abortion and deeply regret their decision".
