The Health Minister's defended a decision to move the Rotunda hospital into his constituency in West Dublin.
It's part of an overhaul of maternity services in the capital - which has received a broad welcome.
Each hospital will cost 150 million euro to build, and it's hoped it will be done along the Public Private Partnership model.

40 percent of babies born nationally are born in Holles Street, the Rotunda and the Coombe.
The hospitals are to be transferred to co-locate with adult services in St. Vincent’s, Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and St. James’Hospital.
