The annual parade by frontline emergency and security personnel is getting underway around now in Dublin.
This year's event will honour Coastguard Caitríona Lucas, who lost her life off the Co. Clare coast on Monday.
All colour parties marching in today's parade will wear black arm bands as a mark of respect.
The parade makes its way from Parnell Square to Trinity College this afternoon.
A book of condolences, manned by Coastguard personnel, will be open to the public in Trinity until 4 o'clock this afternoon.
