We're less likely to get an inheritance from our parents, as people are living longer and spending the money on themselves.

The Law Reform Commission finds people are living longer, and rather than leaving a huge amount of money behind in a will, they're spending it on health care or other expenses in their later life.

The Commission is now looking for feedback as it reviews the laws around inheritances.
That includes whether the law needs to change to cater for these demographic changes, and a child's right to challenge their parents will.
