Unions and management at Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann say theyÂ’'re hopeful crunch talks can avert a planned strike this weekend.
But parties to the discussions at the LRC say they'Â’ve a lot of work to do before a resolution can be reached.
Yesterday the companies, trade unions and representatives from the National Transport Authority and the Department of Transport sat down to discuss a framework for talks.
This morning, on their way in to talks, stakeholders said that while there was a job to do to reach agreement, they were committed to doing so.
