Pat Hickey Expected To Appear Before A Brazilian Court Later

It's unclear whether Pat Hickey will appear in court in Rio later today.

The president of the Olympic Council of Ireland is facing charges relating to ticket touting at this year's games.

Mr Hickey has his passport confiscated and is currently being held at Bangu prison following his arrest last week.

The Irish Independent claims that Mr Hickey has a second passport that is with his lawyers - however the Department of Foreign Affairs claims there could be a number of reasons for the second ID.

Reporter with the Independent.ie Cathal McMahon, says Pat Hickey's court appearance still hasn't been confirmed:

Meanwhile, three officials from the Olympic Council of Ireland are expected to hand themselves into police for questioning in Brazil today.

Chef de Mission for the Olympics Kevin Kilty, OCI General Secretary Dermot Henihan and CEO Stephen Martin have had their passports sezied but they are not under arrest.
