Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a male pedestrian in his 60's died in Co Tipperary.
The man was struck by an articulated truck while he was walking on the N24 at Townpark in Carrick on Suir at around 2:40pm.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The section of road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
