A 73 year-old Germany man has died after another man drove a rental car into a group of people in the German city of Heidelberg.
Two other people were injured before the suspect, armed with a knife, was shot by police.
He was then taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Officers say there's no indication it was a terrorist attack, but the man's motives remain unclear.
He is described by police as a 35 year old German 'without a migration background'.
