Pensioners could be exempt from paying property tax under new proposals.
Independent Alliance members are calling on the Finance Minister to introduce the measure, as well as bringing in a cap on charges.
Under the proposals, people over 66 on fixed incomes and those with disabilities wouldn't have to pay the property tax.
A nine-month review of the Local Property Tax is due to be received by the Finance Minister shortly.
