The Australian journalist Peter Greste says he is "devastated" at the sentence handed to him by an Egyptian court.
He has been given 3-years in prison along with two other Al Jazeera journalists, after their retrial for "spreading false news".
Mr Greste was deported back to Australia earlier this year.
In a press conference he called on the Egyptian president to do the right thing, and pardon them:
