The North's former First Minister and DUP leader Peter Robinson has been admitted to hospital in Belfast.
A DUP spokesman said he had a reaction to some medication and was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital as a precaution.
Mr Robinson is said to be doing well and will be discharged soon.
Crisis cross-party talks are due to get underway tomorrow, with representatives from the British and Irish governments.
Last week the Northern Secretary Theresa Villiers announced an independent assessment on paramilitary organisations.
The North's institutions are at risk of collapse over claims the IRA is still in existence.
