Northern Ireland's First Minister Peter Robinson has insisted "no one except Sinn Fein" was aware of secret letters of comfort sent to "On The Run" suspects.
Mr Robinson made the remark at an emergency meeting of the Northern Ireland Assembly, which discussed the letters and the wider "On the Runs" scheme in an emergency meeting this afternoon.
Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness has expressed concern over the way those opposed to the peace process are chipping away at it by using "legacy issues."
